Their son, Travis, graduated with honors from CSU-Sonoma State in Business Administration-Accounting and also holds a real estate license. Rick's favorite hobby is golf. He was instrumental in establishing the youth sailing program for Benicia Yacht Club and has been a coaching assisstant to the Hogan High golf team in Vallejo.
